Extension Photo Tour in Barisal

A unique photo experience in the heart of South Asia

The most interesting part of this extension expedition is exploring the Barisal District, one of the most beautiful destinations in southern Bangladesh. It’s called ‘the Venice of Bengal’ for its beauty. There is another saying that ‘Rice, Canals, and Rivers make Barisal’. Here explores the biggest floating market of Bangladesh, life in boats: River cruising in Barisal, often termed the “Venice of Bengal,” offers a deeply authentic experience of rural Bangladesh, characterized by a complex network of rivers, canals, and floating markets. The most immersive way to experience this is by hiring local country boats (or small engine boats) to navigate the narrow canals and witness the everyday life of the Ganges Delta. The Manta community people of Bangladesh have been living on boats for over 100 years, traditional otter fishing on river. In Dhaka, explore the Geneva Refugee camp, the biggest slum, and more.
