Let’s discover the world’s most unexplored land, Bangladesh

Day 01:  Local Train Station and Train Track Slum

This morning, after finishing the original tour, we will continue the extension tour. After lunch, explore the local train station. Next visit Train Track Slum. Dhaka’s train-track slums are informal settlements where thousands live precariously close to active railway lines, facing constant dangers from passing trains, environmental hazards such as waste, and poverty, often driven by displacement from natural disasters in villages, yet they find community and survival in this risky urban landscape. Dhaka has a few slums; the train-track slum is one of the largest and most interesting for photography. In this slum, you will explore slum people’s tent houses beside train lines and their daily life activities such as cooking, taking baths, daily bazaar, children playing on the train line, and more. Day 02: Old Motor Parts Street – Final Pray of Candlelight

In the morning session, Visit the reused motor parts street market. From screws and nuts to engines, the reused motor parts market of old Dhaka city has been the best solution for all kinds of reconditioning and second-hand spare parts. Afternoon we will drive to the temple to explore the final pray of the candlelight ritual festival where you will see hundreds of Hindu devotees praying by candlelight, The whole area is full of prayers and devotees are covered in smoke & candlelight creating a wonderful and enchanting atmosphere. In the final pray, the last step of the prayer is sacrificing of candle lights, all devotees line up in a row and go to sacrificing lamps. (B.L.D.)(B.L.D.)

Day 03: 4-Boats fishing & Green River

Drive through North Bengal the most rural beauty of Bangladesh. On the way explore rural traditional 4-boat fishing on the Jamuan River. Next, explore rural villages and the most beautiful natural Shawla or alga plant in the river and a birdseye view of the green river from the bridge. (B.L.D.).

Day 04: Yogurt production and Pottery Village.

In the morning, we stop at the yogurt villages for photography of curd and yogurt making by the traditional process. You will explore every step of curd making from collecting milk to the final production of curd. Next, we will enter the pottery village, where village people make different kinds of clay, crafts and pots by traditional process. After shooting, driving back to Dhaka. (B.L.D)

Day 05: Refugee Camp – Wholesale Vegetable Market & Departure. 

In the morning session, shooting in the Geneva Camp: Geneva Camp in Dhaka is a colony of the stranded Pakistanis who migrated to the then East Pakistan from the Indian state of Bihar during the partition of 1947. The Urdu-speaking Muslims have been living there since the end of the 1971 War of Liberation. The Geneva camp consists of more than 25,000 people with up to 10 family members sharing a single room. After lunch, we will enter the largest wholesale vegetable market in Dhaka. There are hundreds of small temporary shops in and around the market. The market has separate blocks for wholesale trade in fish, vegetables, fruits, and rice. End of the tour. According to your individual Flight departure time, we will drop you off at the airport and bid a fond farewell.
